Suppliers must provide evidence of the following:

✅ CFIA Establishment Approval:
  • Processing facility must be listed and approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) for export to Canada.
  • Please provide your CFIA Registration Number.
✅ Food Safety Certifications (Valid & Current):
  • Required: HACCP and ISO 22000
  • Preferred: BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety (Grade AA or A), IFS Food (Grade A, B, or C)
✅ Phytosanitary Certificate:
  • Issued by the National Plant Protection Organization, required for every shipment.
✅ Certificate of Origin:
  • Certified copy required for customs clearance in Canada.
✅ Letter of Guarantee (MRL Compliance):
  • Signed declaration stating that the product complies with Health Canada’s Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for pesticides as per the Pest Control Products Act.
  • Non-compliant shipments will be rejected at the border.
✅ Cold Chain Warranty:
  • Supplier must guarantee continuous storage and transport at ≤ -18°C from production through loading.
  • Temperature logs may be requested upon arrival.
